Anthropomorphism

"Anthropopmorphis" That is a word in itself. (an-thruh-puh-mawr-fiz-uhm) The attributing of human characteristics and purposes to inanimate objects, animals, plants, or other natural phenomena, or to God. To describe a rushing river as “angry” is to anthropomorphize it.

American artist Kat Macdowell has some fascinating work. Using porcelain as her medium there is a delicateness to her message. From these pieces, it's apparent that there is distinct differences between man and nature in the state of destruction. The meticulous construction is spellbinding it's as if she recreates the truth to our current pollution epidemic.

take a gander:

mice and men
catch
persephone
canary
first and last breath
casually
romulus and remus
sparrow
cycle
bad seed
breaking

and there's more..
